a good book

It seems that I always THINK I'm going to have more time to read on vacation then I actually do.  But, we do have a few lounging on the beach days and a looong plane ride so I'd love to fit in a good book (or two).  Either way, I am always looking for suggestions.  I've been in a book club for the last 6 months (holla! literary ladies!) and lately have only had time for our monthly book.   They're usually great books (with the odd exception - 'Suddenly' I'm looking at you), but I'm excited to fit in a few extras this summer!

A few of my recent faves...

Any suggestions for a good travel read?

  1. I can never find the time to read, so I am definitely the worst person to ask on this subject! I wish I did read more though. I hope you find something good! I love the image you chose here!

  2. So true. I was just on vacation and was hoping to read....no such luck! I recently read "Half Broke Horses" from the book club I am in. REALLY good.

  3. Nelson DeMille books are always good on vacation. I won't tell you the books I really think you should read, I'm sure you already think I'm bonkers after reading my blog! :)

@Anna - I read the 'The Glass Castle' and really liked it, I'll have to check out "Half Broke Horses". Thanks for the suggestion!

@cassie - haha, don't worry, I think everyone should be a bit bonkers sometimes :D I want to hear what you really think!

  5. It's been so long since I've read anything so I'm anxious to hear what everyone else recommends. This summer though my goal is 5 books!!
