Anthropologie: Collected Memories Mirror

I spent Saturday afternoon at Anthropologie with my friend, Dajana. And when I say afternoon, I'm not exaggerating.... After a chat at Starbucks with some deee-licious croissants from Duchess Bake Shop we then spent 2+ HOURS in Anthropologie. Yikes.

I think it's safe to say we were both very into "dress up" as kids, haha. After trying on nearly the whole store, I came out with an amazing silk tunic (in khaki) and (because I have bills to pay and need to eat and such) added a number of items to my wishlist.  Cross your fingers some of these items go on SALE.

On our way out we came across this mirror:

At the time, I had actually thought it was just a display item but I found it today on their website. Wouldn't this be a great DIY project?  Literally, all it is is some reclaimed frames/mirrors on a piece of plywood.

For those of you DIY'ers (I'm still not sure if I fit into this category) this could be easy peasy! And most definitely cheaper than the $698USD price tag this one comes with...yes, $698, eeeee.

What do you think, would any of you tackle this?

Happy Monday, hope you have a great week!

  1. You're right it's gorgeous, and it's definitely DIY-able!
The only problem is getting myself to actually do it. But it's a fabulous idea!

  3. Okay, Anthro is my favorite store!! Just going in the store brightens my day. Somethin' about the smell and the beautiful displays (: That mirror is awesome. And I think someone should do a DIY version of it! I bet it'd be cute and come out a whole lot cheaper (: You're adorable, Christine!

  6. Those mirrors look awesome! I, too, love anthropologie. If I could shop at one store for the rest of my life (and not have to worry about money), it'd be anthro! So, when I told my boyfriend that, he joked that he'd get me a $500 gift card one day and I could go crazy... That wouldn't even cover the cost of those mirrors!

Lady Grey - haha, ya that's what I was thinking!

Nicole - Isn't it sad $500 wouldn't take you very far, haha. Just wait for a great sale day and you can stock up!

  26. I don't know if I'd make this mirror myself, but I can definitely see it being a great DIY project. You could also create an interesting piece of art by attaching a group of empty frames together. Would look great hanging on a brick wall :-)
