Oh Christine! The room looks even more beautiful now that the baby is finally here to enjoy it!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful nursery Christine! I love the spice racks used to hold books, great idea. I have always wanted to try the new Sarah Richardson paint, is the colour you picked a grey with blue undertones? It's hard to tell in the photos. It looks like a very soothing grey. Your little baby girl is so precious, I understand why you want to eat her up!!

such a lovely room!
ReplyDeleteAlice looks right at home in her beautiful nursery!
ReplyDeleteso adorable! I love the room and Alice is just darling! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteSoooo so pretty. As much as I'm a sucker for pink, I love that this is not pink. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are loving mommyhood. Alice is just precious.
Oh my... That is such a beautiful nursery! I love the lighting and the pouf is so cute. Alice is gorgeous, too. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteSo very gorgeous. And it looks even better with that little cutie in her crib :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for a modern touch. congrats all around!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful space and super adorable baby!!
ReplyDeleteOh how I adore miss Alice and her gorgeous nursery:)
ReplyDeleteShe is soooo cute! Enjoy your precious bundle and congrats! I have said it before but your nursery is so beautiful, love how serene and ethereal feeling it evokes.
ReplyDeleteshe's soo cute! such a gorgeous nursery.
ReplyDeleteThat first pic is adorable!

@Andrea - I'd say the grey paint has more green undertones in it. It's definitely a really soothing colour! Greys are so tough it's amazing how different all the greys looked when we got testers up on the wall!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous nursery! So creative! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteADORE Alice's nursery...so many great details. I really want to use the Hemnes dresser for the nursery too...and I love the chevron curtains! Dreamy!
ReplyDeleteLove the nursery, and the gray/white/yellow combo. The chevron curtains are amazing. I'm sure Alice loves her nursery. Also, Alice is a great name!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the picture mobile that you said you already had? (to make your own DIY mobile?) I want it! I want to make one too, but don't want to order a $7 item online, only to have to pay twice as much for shipping....
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely room and welcome to sweet baby Alice! I love that you made your own mobile. It's perfect above the changing table. :)

Beautiful colors! Grey, yellow, and white are very soothing and modern. Love how the nursery is minimalist and modern! We also decided on the same color theme.
ReplyDeleteWondering where you got the two thin bookcases standing on both sides of the crib? Thanks for the inspiration and help! :)
@tx2pdx - thank you! Alice was my great grandma's name!
ReplyDelete@Krystal - We actually received the mobile at a christmas gift exchange, so I'm not sure where to find it, sorry! I let you know if I ever see it at any stores in Edmonton.
@Gagan - The shelves are kind of a funny answere... they're actually a shelf that is meant to go in a closet, as part of a closet organizer system. We bought a few separate pieces and didn't end up using it in the closet and I thought it'd work perfectly on the side of the crib.
We got this one from Home Depot and I bet you could find something similar. Closet systems usually have lots of skinny shelves. Hope that helps!
I saw this on Pinterest and am absolutely in LOVE with your nursery! I love all of the details...I am obsessed with the elephant lamp...What a find! I wish we had Home Sense close to me! Do you know what brand the lamp is? Perhaps it is being sold online by another store...Congratulations, though! Your little one is too precious.
ReplyDeleteHi Courtney! Thank you, so glad you like :) I looked everywhere on the lamp and there is no brand name on it, sorry! Home Sense I think is the same as 'Home Goods' in the states so I'd check there if you have on near you. I'll keep my eyes out if I see another one and be sure to check the brand. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help.
DeleteI found the lamp at my local Home Goods today!! Thank you so much for suggesting I check there. I am so excited! It was our first baby purchase :) Hope you and baby are doing well!
DeleteThank you so much for looking for the brand, Christine! I really appreciate it. I didn't realize Home Sense and Home Goods are the same! I will definitely start searching through Home Goods! Thanks again for your help!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful blog!!! Your nursery is awesome. I just love so many details of it. Great job. and congratulations on the baby alice.
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely room!
ReplyDeleteLove your daughters room :) I'm just wondering what size the pictures and picture frames are on the shelves above her dresser? Are the frames IKEA?
ReplyDeleteThank you! The photos are 5x7 and the frames are 8x10. I got the frames years and years ago, I think they might have been from Michaels.
DeleteLove this room! I've also been looking at the EQ3 swivel chair... just wondering if it glides as well? or does it just swivel?
ReplyDeleteI love my chair! Trust me, I've spent many, many hours in it. It swivels and it rocks and has lots of room for you and baby once they get a bit bigger too.
DeleteLove Alice's room! I had a question about the little rocking chair, you listed that it was purchased at a used baby sale...was that just a garage sale, or an annual type baby expo/sale they have yearly? Just moved to the city and having a baby and would love to know what's available here!
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you sew the quilt? darling!
Yes, I purchased it at the Terwillegar "I've outgrown it sale". They have them throughout the year all through the city. Here's a good reference: http://www.cityandbaby.com/journal/2012/2/12/outgrown-it-sales-spring-2012.html
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I (mostly my sis) made the quilt. She's definitely the brains behind the operation :)
Love this room! Where are thé shelves from on top of dresser? And mirror Ikea?
ReplyDeleteOff topic but your beautiful mudroom- where did you get the cubies, hold and bench??
Thx :)
You guessed it, the shelves and mirror are all from IKEA!
DeleteThe bench/cubbies came with the house, it was built by the builder.
This is so so cute. I'm so excited to decorate in our house in a few weeks!
