Valentine's Day Decor: hearts, hearts, hearts!

I've never decorated for valentine's day before and I'm not exactly sure how I managed to pull it off this year. Maybe it's because I'm not working right now and I've got tons of extra creative energy to spare, or the scheduled crafternoon date - Lord knows it's certainly not free time! Either way, I kinda like all the lovey dovey'ness in the house right now. Hearts, hearts and more hearts.

Mike and I don't really make a big deal of valentine's day (I like to think we love each other everyday), we'll probably spend the evening in front of the tv with our little lady. How are you spreading the love tomorrow?

Happy almost heart day :)

  1. What a beautiful and tasteful way to decorate. We're so not into V-Day so we'll probably be doing the same thing as you:)

  2. love it all! especially your canvas! we're the same here... the glamour of v-day takes a backseat once babies arrive... and we're full of love all year through (most days!) i like to think we'll finally be meeting baby hank instead of watching our ever abundant catalogue of pvr'd shows...

  5. okay. I don't know how in THEE world you got that beautiful heart fingerprint art piece finished with your little one, but I might ( read: definitely ) need some tips! : )

I pulled out the stamp pad with my 2 1/2 year old this morning, and ........
we made it through 9 hearts : )

And I'm not even sure anyone besides me would know that they are actually hearts. Just sayin.

all that to say--we'll try again soon and thank you for the inspiration : )

    1. That was the ONE project I got completed on my scheduled craft day... It was time consuming and they don't all look like hearts! I think I got the hang of it by the end.

  11. Love the decor! I'm impressed that you barely have any time at all and it looks very beautiful.
Thank you for the card again! Broderick loved it!
Gord and I spent our evening in front of TV eating home made nachos and were lucky this time because Brody was sleeping (usually we have to take turns to eat dinner).
Happy Valentine's day to you, Mike and Alice!
