oh baby! First Flight

Woops, I meant to post photos of the wedding shower last week but, well, life got busy and then we were off for our first family vacation. We spent an extended weekend in beautiful, sunny, springy Victoria, BC. The sun, the ocean, the flowers, the grass. I had almost forgot what grass felt like.

We really wanted to get away on a mini-vacation while she was still somewhat portable and I'm so glad we did. Alice traveled really, really well. Besides a few tense "it's past my bedtime" moments on the way home, she pretty much slept the whole time on the airplane. phew!

So many photos to post but for now I'm off to tackle laundry, those babies don't travel light (and quite frankly, neither do I ;)

  1. Yay Alice! Oh my goodness, I was so scared traveling with Mila for the first time (she was two months). But now she's flown 12 flights and is a pro! (Sometimes). ;)

    1. 12 flights!? Holy man, she is a seasoned traveller! Go Mila! and good for you guys. I imagine you can't hit the traveling jackpot every time, but I love hearing that you guys pull it off so often!!

  2. Awww... so glad to hear you all had a great time! I remember our first trip with E at 3 months. He was so good and slept through most of the plane ride. Then we took him at 6 months...OMG not fun. o.O He was so much more aware and not happy at all of being confined. Take lots of trips now while you can! :)

    1. I know! That's why we wanted to go while she was still a bit young! Who knows what the next trip will bring!

  3. SO GLAD Alice is a good traveller as well! Halle isn't much of an airplane sleeper... but at least she wasn't too fussy! :)

  5. Oh glad to hear that Alice travels well. We haven't gone anywhere since the girls were born but I'm taking them to a shower in a month (only a 3 hour drive) but nervous nonetheless.

    1. Good luck on the drive, Ashley! I'm sure the girls will do awesome. I was actually more nervous at the thought of a road trip, the flight was only an hour and a half and at least we had the luxury of holding or standing up with her. We'll have to tackle the road trip next!
