Keepin' it Real: "the chair"

I'm not sure if I've ever actually sat in this chair but it looks lovely and it's pretty darn good at holding clothes. For the life of me I cannot keep this chair clean. It's even worse now that I have a little mover on my hands who requires everything off the floor or it's going straight in the mouth.

Alice also seems to have developed a little chair of her own....

Please tell me I'm not the only one with "the chair"??

  1. Ha! Nope you are not the only one! Ours is a big comfy leather chair. You know, the kind that requires a hot drink and a good book. Ours holds clothes, my husbands clothes. He helps in every other area of the house and outdoors, so I don't mind his one messy corner. :)

  3. Not going to lie here...my "chair" is usually the floor. Haha No but seriously for me it is my hope chest which is in my room, there is constantly something on top of it.

  5. You're not alone. We have a lovely Ikea Poang that I have sat in maybe once since we bought it -- because it is covered in clothes. Sigh. In fact, I really need to go clean it right now.

  6. No chair, but the dresser top is always a goodie. I also like to hang clothes on the side of my hamper if they aren't ready to be washed. We call Adam's corner his "nest" because he just piles his clothes in one big pile like a bird's nest. He even sits in it like a little birdie sometimes…tmi?

  12. Definitely not alone! My chair ends up the exact same way and then every weekend I clean it up but then goes right back to have a pile of clothes on it! I think hooks in the closet will be my next step...at least it won't end up on the chair!

  21. This is the perfect image to describe my girlfriend. She loves to reupholster chairs, she doesn't necessarily sit on them but its the perfect place for her to place all her clothes. Is this a female thing? Where did you get that chair, my gf would love it!

    1. It must be, there's gotta be a place for those 'worn but not dirty clothes', right?

The chair I got from Home Sense a few years ago.
