First Birthday Invite

So, it's here. Alice is turning one this week! It's a crazy rollercoaster of mixed emotions for this mama - it's gone so fast, I can't believe she's one, where did my baby go?? I'm not sure if it was due to busyness or just denial, but I sorta procrastinated with the party. I mean I've had a whole year to plan, yet here I am days before the party scrambling to craft, shop, and decorate. Good thing I work well under pressure and, who am I kidding, I totally love doing it.

After much struggle we decided to keep the guest list small. Part of me wanted to run around the whole town screaming, "we made it! come celebrate!!", but after sitting down and realizing that we have giant extended families we decided a 70 person party just wasn't in the cards. It'll be a quiet afternoon with immediate family, a few close friends and lots and lots of pink!!

As you can see a pink polka dot party is in the works! I'm hoping there won't be toooo many late nights getting stuff done this week, wish me luck!!

  6. I'm a big fan of smaller more intimate parties (except when it comes to my 30th - if we don't go away). I think a shape/colour theme is super clever and I know it will come together and be photographed beautifully. Have fun getting your craft on. xoxo

I know this will be an incredible party - you always do a fantastic job! :) I can't believe she is one either... time goes way too fast!   12. These are so cute!! congrats to you and your sweet baby girl. Yes, she's still a baby :) and if you want to talk about procrastination I'll let you in on my secret that I have a 5 & 3 year old and only one party between the both of them. THAT's procrastination! ;)

  14. I can't believe Alice is 1!!!! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was fawning over her nursery that you had just styled out for baby girl!! The invite is PERFECT (that furry vest just kills me w/ cuteness).

    We'd been struggling w/ the looong guest list for Q's birthday as well until we ultimately decided to keep it small. I think it is so lovely that you are keeping it intimate & meaningful. There won't be any style lacking though w/ you at the helm, that's for sure. Procrastinators unite!!
