I also have this, this and this one on order for Christmas. Yep, I've officially started my shopping, I have some lofty goals to get it done before December this year, though I say that every year and it never happens ;)
We're always looking for new books, any good ones to share?
Happy Friday!

We just picked up Alligator Pie by Dennis Lee – a Canadian classic that has apparently been hard to come by in recent years. Our little guy is barely 4 months old, but seems to love the rhyming rhythm. :)
ReplyDeleteawesome. I'll have to check that one out, thanks Heather!
DeleteSo sweet. What a cute little reading nook! She's so darling. My favorite book was some zoo keeper book and the caterpillar one!
ReplyDeleteI bet it was the eric carle one!
DeleteGrumpy Bird and Boo Hoo Bird were part of Saige's bedtime routine for far too long - like we have special voices for each animal (ie. the beaver has a country twang and fox is a Southern belle.) Guffalo is Trev's favourite - I can hear him some nights begging for it to be Saige's pick. Gabe has recently taken a liking to Little Blue Truck... I'm going to have to look into a couple of Alice's faves although we're doing little gift buying this year.
ReplyDeletehaha, I can just picture those voices :)
DeleteLove the nook. We have a low bookshelf in the playroom and the girls love to pull books off of it and flip through. Counting Birds by Jing Jing Tsong is great - the girls love it.
ReplyDeleteI think pulling out books is all part of the fun... if not more fun at this point ;)
DeleteI just love the series by michelle sinclair colman and have pretty much collected them all!

DeleteMortimer...such a classic ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's our fav :) I love robert munsch.
DeleteLove how she uses the pillow to get a better reach... Laura Numeroff is a good author- her books include If You Give A Moose A Muffin, If You Give a Cat A Cupcake, If You Take A Mouse To the Movies... Dorren Cronin is also good- Click Clack ABC, Dooby Dooby Moo, etc.Though Eric Carle is still a fav of mine. PS. I have TONS (literally boxes full of them) of books you can borrow here that are just sitting in bins.
