Back to Work & Proud Mommy Moment

So, last Wednesday was my first official day back to work... definitely a bittersweet moment. That and a sick little babe, it's safe to say it was a crazy week. It was so weird (and kinda nice) to sit in one place, uninterrupted, all. day. long. Definitely a huge change of pace. I'm back to work part time and hoping we strike some sort of balance, with the whirlwind of last week it's too early to tell. How on earth do you full time working moms ever get anything done??

I'm so thankful we are blessed here in Canada with a year long maternity leave, I treasured (and still do) every day I get to spend with my girl*, especially moments like this...

Walking is still not her #1 mode of transportation but she's almost there. Go, Alice, go!

Christine

* I'm realizing, after today's full day of whining, that I might also come to appreciate the peace and quiet of my office every now and then ;) I still love you, honey.

  8. What do you do that allows you to go back part time? I think it's a wonderful way to get back working but also to be able to balance out your life with your family. I also have no clue have other women do the full time thing.

    1. I work for a motion graphic design company. We're a super small company (4 people) so luckily it's pretty flexible, I'm soooo glad I was able to go back part time.

  11. Hope you are relaxing today! I went back to work full time after 18 years!!! It has been a real shock to the system. I have worked casually part time on and off up till now but full time has had some major mental adjustments for me.....

Good luck and enjoy the quiet of the office. My "office" is a class of 19 grade 2's, not so quiet....
