Instagram Photo Book Part Two

Confession: 'make wedding photo book' has been on my to-do list for nearly FIVE years. We have hundreds of absolutely beautiful photos from pink sugar photography that have yet to be put to paper. Don't get me wrong, they mean the world to me and we most certainly have enjoyed them. I think the fact that I love them all so much is what makes the task so daunting. One day, one day...

Knowing this, I was unsure if I'd stick to my plan to make my yearly instagram book. I've mentioned before, I'm sort of an instagram addict. My phone is with me all the time and it's become my way to document everyday life. I blogged about the instagram photo book I made documenting the first half of 2012 here and I'm happy to say I got my butt in gear and ordered part two! It just arrived and I LOVE it.

Instagram Photo Book

That photo just kills me, one of my favs from Alice's first birthday party.

Photo to paper feels pretty good. Maybe there's hope for you yet, wedding album.

p.s. There is a promo on right now at Blurb for 20% off your order with the code MYBOOKLOVE, order by Feb 14, 2013.

disclosure: blurb affiliate links, but don't worry I genuinely love this book and wouldn't blog it if I didn't :)

  1. you inspired me to make my own instagram photo book. I totally agree that iPhones are far easier to lug around than real cameras - very user friendly. xo

  3. Ok, your post is well timed as I'm trying to figure out what to do with my photos. What size Blurb book do you like? I'm struggling to figure out what size would work best for a continuing family collection of photos....

    1. I used the 7x7 softcover for my instagram book. It's perfect for that because I just have a single square image per page (square photo, square book looks lovely) and it's the perfect size for quick flipping. I'm really happy with the quality.

I was thinking of doing another family book myself with my "real" photos - I thought I might do the standard landscape, hard cover for that one. Not too big not too small...

      hope that helps!

  4. Just lovely, Christine. That shot of Alice is incredibly adorable. I have yet to "print" a photo from my DSLR camera...I've had it over a year now. How sad is that?! I keep meaning to, but it just.doesn't.happen. Hoping your motivation rubs off on me just a bit. I really want to tackle this someday ;)

    1. I hardly ever print either, Amy! That's why these books have been such motivation for me, I'm not sure what I'd do with a ton of random prints. It's so nice to have them in fancy book form :)

  5. Love it! Is yours a soft cover? Do you find that it is durable?

I have made photo books before too. But am soooo behind. As for a wedding album, ehem....we have been married for 21 years and still I have not put together an album! All photos we taken pre-digital days so I have to make an old fashioned scrap book. One of these days.....

    1. Yes, Barbara, it's a 7x7 soft cover. It's seems pretty durable, so far it has passed the one year old grabby hands test ;)

Yikes, a scrapbook sounds like a lot of work too! You can do it!

  6. Thank you for the reminder/inspiration - I was just thinking yesterday about your first post on the Instagram book, I was heading over to find the link and voila!!! So thanks for the reinforcement. I too am addicted to Instagram, I have made a couple of photo books through Iphoto with non-Instagram pics, but so excited to put together and Instagram square one! ~ Heather

  7. That pic of Alice might be all the motivation I need to get off my arse & get our pics photobooked. That dimpled chin caked in....cake. Life is sweet.

    1. You just need to go to blurb, Carol, there's an option for 'instagram books' (link above) for the quick and easy ones. You can make custom photo books too if you want more options.
