Big / Little Style: Hearts

I can't tell you how many times I've walked out the door only to notice I've dressed Alice and myself in almost the exact same outfit. I swear it's not intentional, you know if you feel like stripes, you feel like stripes.

There are so many stylish looks out there that work for both you and your kiddo, it's so easy to take inspiration from each other. I shopped our closets for some of our fave matching looks. Whether your choose to be twinsies or not is up to you ;) We may or may not accidentally go to the grocery store like this.

BIG STYLE:
jeans: j.crew
watch: target
necklace: joe fresh (old, similar here)
shirt: j.crew on clearance (similar here)
heart sweater: j.crew factory (not available online any more, similar here)

LITTLE STYLE:
leggings: old navy
shoes: toms (got mine 50% off locally here!)
heart shirt: h&m

And some bonus hearts for the little man in your life here...

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only mama/daughter, mama/son twins out there, am I right?

  1. I love this....I've noticed that Joy from OhJoy! does the same thing! It must be a natural inclination for all you stylish and talented Mama's out there!

Hope this becomes a regular series on your blog because it's just so cute.

    1. Thanks, Amy. I guess when you're in charge of 'dressing' it's bound to happen!

  3. Adorable! I find myself doing it often. The funniest is when we're out and someone notices and I haven't even realized we're dressed like twins.

  5. My daughter and I do it all the time as well and it is often not until someone points it out that I realize it ;) Funny I remember growing up my mom used to sew us matching (often floral) dresses and I swore that if I had a daughter I would not do that! So go figure!

  11. So cute, Christine! I remember your guys coordinated outfits on one of our play dates!
No adults and baby clothes are so nice and similar, it's understandable when you dress the same, Plus you every mother has a certain style that she dresses herself and, of course, the same her daughter, or husband and son.
I personally love that I can dress Broderick the way I can't dress Gord. :-)
I love all Alice's clothes. I want the second baby to be a daughter, so much fun with girls. At least, while they are little and don't have personal taste yet.
You guys hearts outfit put a smile on my face!

    1. Your comment about how you can dress Broderick the way you can't dress Gord cracked me up!! If only our husband's were as willing participants as the kids, haha! Brody has such awesome style, I love how your dress him! And you're so right, we need to take advantage of this while they'll still let us.

  12. I find the same thing happening over here.
I try to avoid it but not always because I secretly LOVE it.
As I've said in the past, I'm taking advantage of these years when Fiona wants to be like me.
All too soon she would be mortified to match her Mama.

  14. Super duper adorable! Alice sure is lucky to match her stylish mama. I always forget about H&M kids, love them. And of course, J Crew's awesome (esp. on sale). #JCrewisthesh!t

Quinn & I are twinsies a lot! Mostly we love it & laugh at ourselves.....other times we just side-eye each other & things get weird.
