Naan Pizza

I've been really into pizza lately, naan pizza to be exact. Many people tell me that it's super easy to make your own pizza crust, but you just can't beat fast and easy for a quick weeknight meal. Really, you can just throw anything on some naan bread, throw it in the oven and you've got yourself a pizza. Done and done.

Here are a few recipe keepers I've come across lately...

1) caramelized onion, gorgonzola, pear pizza - I added some prosciutto crisps for bonus flavour. The recipe calls for homemade crust, I adapted and threw it on some naan - voila naan pizza!

2) sausage and grape pizza - I had been meaning to try this recipe since Andrea posted a while ago. I wish I would have done it sooner, it was amazing. Grapes on pizza, who knew!? BIG thank you for recommending this one, Andrea!! Again, if you want quick and easy, adapt and throw it on naan!

3) shrimp pizza with coconut arugula pesto - I think the name says it all, this one is up next!

  6. I have wanted to try cooked grapes in something for a long time! the pear, gorgonzola, onion, prosciutto is an old fall back for me...love that. We also did one with potato (thin slices), rosemary, and pancetta (pre cooked). YUMM. I'm loving the el cheapo pizza dough (a big ol ball of dough) from the grocery store (in the cheese / deli section) - split it in 2, freeze half of it and use half of it right away. Cornmeal under the crust, on a pizza stone...soooo good.

  8. Omg THANK YOU! This could not have come at a better time. I've been struggling w/ what to make for dinner besides the same old same old. This is such a fun twist. Quinn loves pizza & naan. Best of both worlds!

P.S. I think the hubby is a pickier eater than Quinn & even he would enjoy these.

  9. Pizza is my absolute go-to comfort food. My very favourite is olives, onions, feta and a handful of arugula at the end. I recently tried a pizza in Van with smoked gouda, rapini with an egg right in the middle. It was out of this world...who knew egg and pizza worked together.
