Happy Mother's Day

Sometimes I count the minutes to bedtime and then spend my evening looking at videos/photos of her.
Sometimes I cry because I am tired, frustrated, overwhelmed.
Sometimes I cry at diaper and clothing commercials.
Sometimes I laugh till I cry.
Sometimes I wonder if my house will ever be clean again.
Sometimes I wonder how it's possible to love so much.
Sometimes I look at her and wonder where this last year and a half has gone.
Sometimes I wonder how on earth my mom did it with three kids.

Seriously mom, you are the best. Thank you so much for all you have done for me. I love you!

Being a mom is the hardest and best job EVER. To my mom, my mom in law, and all the other amazing mom's out there - happy mother's day.

  1. Thank you Christine, I won't lie some days it was hard but so worth it in the end. I have three beautiful children and two beautiful granddaughters and another one on the way. Not to mention the son in laws and daughter in law. I am blessed with an amazing loving family and I wouldn't change a thing!
    Love you all.

  4. I've definitely been in the same boat as you recently. Sometimes, I am also surprised at how much my little one can teach me, if I really watch what she does and listen to what she is trying to say. Happy Mother's Day my dear. I hope you had a great one! xo

  8. So, so beautiful Christine. I totally get you on counting the hours until bedtime and then missing them once they are sleeping! The highs and lows of motherhood.....it's such a rollercoaster!

  11. I still go peek in on Sydney every night before I go to bed. Sometimes twice. I just can't help myself.

  12. Giiiirrrlll, that Carter's commercial makes me do the ugly-cry every.single.time. I've got tears dripping down my nose as I type this & am thisclose to waking Quinn up from her nap to snuggle her.....but that's just crazy-talk =]

This is the sweetest, heartfelt Mother's Day post I've read. And you speak the truth, my friend--especially your first sentence. It's like bedtime is the finish line in a daily race.....then we choose to fondly think about the race all night. LOL!!

(Your mom & Alice in that pic are too cute. Loved your mom's comment above, too!!)
