Books for Dads

This was the scene this morning: before she even got out of her crib miss bossypants pointed to book after book that needed to be in her crib... like now.

Alice-books-in-bed

Yep, we love books around here. They're a big playtime favourite and we read every day as part of the go-to-sleep ritual. Dad takes care of bath/bed time in this house so books are a natural go-to when it comes to gift giving. Here are a few "dad themed" books and a few of our recent favs too...

Books for Dads

1) My Dad Is Big And Strong, BUT...: A Bedtime Story
2) Daddy Hugs
3) Do You Know Which Ones Will Grow?
4) My Dad Thinks He's Funny (Sara, I totally thought of you when I found this)
5) Best Word Book Ever
6) Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me

Alice may or may not have picked one of these up for Mike... (I'm really great at surprises, aren't I?)

Enjoy your father's day weekend!
Christine

    1. You should, it's hilarious. I think Alice will really love it when she's a bit older and gets how funny it is.

  5. I think I need to get Trev that book. I see Alice has a copy of Grumpy Bird! That was Saige's favourite (along with Boo Hoo Bird)... every night for an entire year. I actually found a really beautiful 'Alice in Wonderland' book while thrifting and thought of my Just Bella girls. hope you're well, I'm trying to find ways/time to keep in the blog world but I feel like my days are numbered. xo

  6. I just found this, and I'm a little late for Father's Day, but some of these titles will definitely be making their way to our bookshelf soon. My little boy LOVES books and LOVES his dad, so these are perfect. Another favorite around our house is "My Dad Loves Me" by Marianne Richmond.
