Pineapple Smoothie

I've been wavering between enjoying our last moments as a family of three and going insane waiting for this baby to come. I kept telling everyone I was mentally prepared to go overdue again (Alice was 10 days late) but now that it's here, I think I lied. Waiting is the worst! But such is the emotional roller coaster of pregnancy, this baby will come when it's good and ready.

I decided to just focus on the positive today and enjoy the sunshine and this yummy pineapple smoothie (with a flamingo and fancy straw because sometimes I need to justify my random target purchases).

Recipe via Paula Deen.

1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
1 banana
1/4 cup ice cubes
2 teaspoons honey, optional

blend it all up and enjoy!

Cheers to the weekend and hopefully a new baby!!

  1. I hear ya my friend - Leo was 9 days and Mila was 8 - little buggers :). That smoothie looks delish!

  2. Hang in there, Christine! I hear ya, it's so hard to be at the end and soooooo beyond ready. But then they arrive and eight months later you're saying "how do I have an eight month old already?"
    : )

    1. I know, time goes by soo fast (except when you're nine months preggo ;)

  3. After seeing this on your Instagram feed, I decided I needed to make one too! Today is/was my due date with #2, and I am also in between the emotional roller coaster of enjoying the last moments with my daughter but also going crazy with wanting this baby to be here!
    Hang in there, Mama! :)

    1. hooray! I hope you enjoyed it, Traci and I hope that baby graces you with it's presence soon too!!!

  4. looks delicious! and omg, I was a day early for all three and that was tough....I couldn't even being to imagine being 10 days late! hang in there, sweets! have you tried raspberry tea (i think that's the one)? I've heard that works, my SIL swears by it.

    1. Yes! I have a stash of raspberry leaf tea already. Julie, I've tried EVERYthing. I'm convinced none of it works and baby will come when it's good and ready. sheesh.

  5. This looks so yummy! Sorry the baby's taking its sweet time. Hoping it decides to arrive soon. Hugs!

  6. I'm totally Pinning this to make!

I'm so sorry, this waiting game has got to be emotionally draining, mama! I'm also convinced all those labor-inducing tips don't really work as I tried them all (acupuncture, spicy foods, raspberry leaf tea, reflexology) with Quinn & she was still 2 weeks past due. You're right, these bebes have their own agenda.

Sending big hugs your way! At least baby will be here before July right?!? ;-)

comments make me happy : )
